BALVER SN100C-Brilliant B2012 solder wire

BALVER SN100C-Brilliant B2012 is a lead-free solder wire for soldering tasks where a narrow and controlled melting behavior is desired. It is based on the SN100C alloy, which is a tin-copper alloy stabilized with nickel and added germanium to reduce oxidation. In practice, this means that the wire is made for professional soldering, where both the process and the solder joint must be more predictable.

The alloy has a nominal content of tin as the remainder, copper 0.6–0.7%, nickel 0.04–0.06%, and germanium 0.005–0.007%. According to the manufacturer's documentation, the flux content in the wire is 2.2% w/w, and the classification is ROL0, i.e., no-clean. This makes it relevant in production environments where a flux with low residual activity is desired.

The melting range is stated with solidus and liquidus at 227 °C, and the manufacturer specifies a recommended soldering temperature of approximately 330–380 °C for the wire. The wire is available in standard diameters from 0.3 to 3.5 mm, so it can be selected according to the task and component size. A 0.4 kg spool is also listed as a packaging variant.
