GW-INSTEK GTL-116R
The GTL-116R is a GB test lead, meaning a cable for ground bond testing. It is used when measuring the connection to ground in test setups where a safe and stable test connection is important. This is the red version with a U-type connector at one end and an alligator clip at the other.
In practice, it is a spare part or accessory included with test equipment from GW Instek. The cable is used with, among other things, the GSB-02 Multiplex Scanner Box and GPT-9904/9804 testers. In the manual for the GSB-01/GSB-02, it is referred to as a GB sense/source L test lead, meaning it belongs in the part of the setup where the ground bond and sense connection must be correctly established.
The cable length is approximately 1500 mm, which provides a reasonable working distance in a test setup without the cable becoming unnecessarily long. The red color makes it easier to distinguish it from other cables in the same setup.
