Stäubli MULTILAM plug SA402
The Stäubli MULTILAM plug SA402 is a 4 mm laboratory banana plug with M5 connection. It is used when a secure and stable plug connection is required in setups where electricity and measurement technology are involved. In practice, it is a robust plug component for professional connections where good contact and a solution capable of handling repeated use are desired.
The contact surfaces are made of CuZn with gold plating. This is relevant because gold plating provides low and stable contact resistance, while the metal construction itself is designed to function in demanding environments. The specified contact resistance is 0.3 mΩ, and the nominal current is 50 A. At the same time, the extraction force is around 5 N, so the plug stays in place without being difficult to remove.
Temperature-wise, the specified maximum operating temperature is 150 °C. This makes it suitable when the connection needs to function in systems and equipment where high heat can occur around the components.
