DESCO 200520 shielding bubble bag
DESCO 200520 is a shielding bubble bag for electronics, where the bag itself protects against static charges and provides some mechanical protection during handling. It is made of metal-in shielding and acts as a kind of Faraday protection around the contents, so sensitive items can be safely packed for internal transport and storage.
The bag measures 200 x 255 mm and comes with a 25 mm flap. The flap can either be tucked in, enclosing the contents, or folded down and secured with a label. This makes it practical when working with components, modules, or other ESD-sensitive parts that need to be handled quickly and properly in production.
The surface resistance on both the inside and outside is stated as 1 x 104 to < 1 x 1011 ohms. In addition, T1000 is stated as < 2 seconds at 50% rH. In practice, this means that the bag is designed to work as part of an ESD-protected workflow, where the risk of damage to sensitive contents is minimized.
The package contains 10 pieces, and the product previously had the Vermason item number BA9JK. The country of origin is Great Britain.
