STAUBLI 15.0611-22
The STAUBLI 15.0611-22 is a connector from Stäubli's 16BV circular connector series. It is the component of choice when a robust and controlled connection needs to be made to a flexible Class 5 cable, and where a bayonet lock is desired in the assembly itself.
The connection is made with a crimp, so the conductor is pressed firmly into place instead of being soldered. This method is widely used in professional electrical engineering because it is quick to work with and provides a consistent connection when performed with the correct tools. The cable is fed through a cable gland for conductors and cable of the specified diameter, and the documented conductor cross-section is 50 mm², equivalent to 1/0 AWG.
This makes it suitable for tasks requiring a circular industrial connection for larger power cables, where a mechanical lock is also desired to hold the connection in place.
