The single lateral eye grip, made of galvanized wire, maintains high flexibility under tension. Grips are available in various sizes for cables ranging from 10 mm to 180 mm diameter. The strands are bound and pressed into a chamfered ferrule with an eye to prevent snagging. Tension is evenly distributed along the mesh, avoiding concentrated loads and cable damage. The working length, or nominal length, is the effective mesh length for a medium cable diameter. Grip ends are woven back, minimizing injury risks.
