Fluke ii500 Acoustic Imager
The Fluke ii500 is a handheld acoustic imager used to detect leaks in compressed air, gas, and vacuum systems. Instead of manually listening for small leaks, the instrument picks up sound using an array of 64 digital MEMS microphones and shows where the sound originates. This makes it easier to locate leaks, even when they are not immediately visible.
The combination of sound and a regular camera provides a visual image along with the SoundMap™ display. This is useful for pinpointing a specific location and documenting the findings afterwards. The instrument saves both images and video with the composite view, so results can be shared or reviewed later.
The screen is a 7" capacitive LCD, and the internal memory allows for saving many measurements without constantly having to transfer data. The battery is rechargeable and can be replaced in the field, so the instrument can be used for extended periods in production or during service work.
