Ergonomi holder øjnene fri af røret i avancerede, prisbillige mikroskoper

Ergonomics keep eyes clear of the tube in advanced, affordable microscopes

Vision Engineering is a HIN agency that best manages to combine high visual quality and precision with great user comfort and an affordable solution in the company's Mantis program of stereo microscopes.

Optics are expensive, and you usually notice this when you have to buy conventional microscopes for quality assurance or error checking and correction. And if you need stereo microscopy with dual optical systems, the solution will usually be twice as expensive. Unless, like Vision Engineering, which is on HIN's program for inspection equipment for electronics manufacturing, you develop an electronic solution where the microscope creates a highly detailed, precise and convincing stereoscopic/3D image of the object.

This solution offers several other advantages in addition to a significantly lower price than conventional, purely optical microscopes. The image of the object is displayed on an HD screen with illumination that Vision Engineering has continuously improved through their Mantis generations, and which therefore provides excellent images of the test object even at maximum magnification. In addition, there is also a UV light source for illuminating the test object, which is excellent for checking conformal coating items, among other things.

Since the operator can sit at a comfortable distance from the screen on the Mantis microscopes, the ergonomics are also perfect, which is absolutely important if you have to sit for hours at the microscope. In addition, the position of the operator's head in relation to the screen is not critical, so the image is razor-sharp even with some deviation from perpendicular to the viewing angle. Similarly, the Mantis series from Vision Engineering has an IPD (Inter Pupillary Distance) setting that adjusts the viewing experience in relation to the distance between the operator's eyes. This ensures an optimal stereo experience regardless of the user.

Mantis comes with a variety of stand options as well as a Super Long Working Distance (SLWD) option that provides up to 114mm of clearance above the test object. This facilitates rework on the prints being checked or debugged. The visual data can be transferred to a PC via a USB-C connection for documentation.
